Cove Haven Resort

We have been going to the Cove Haven resorts for many years. It really has been going downhill. So many abandoned rooms and entertainment is lacking. There used to be headline entertainment years ago. No care is taken to the area anymore. Mildew on buildings and chairs, broken arcade games and just indifference to the resort as a whole. We stayed in the Champagne room and on first glance it looked great. Upon looking around we saw that the champagne glass was a mess. Chipped paint in the part where you sit and on the outside the mirrored glass was cracked and part of the champagne glass was broken. The massage table had ripped vinyl. Nobody is going to want to lie on that. The sauna never got really hot. There were good things though: the staff was all wonderful. Shout out to Chris in the dining room. He was awesome. Food was good both nights in the dining room. The boat ride on the lake was fun. The staff was great there. The rest of our room was decent. Very comfy bed and the pool area was clean. The shower was great too. We loved seeing the deer and feeding them. Reception area is very nice as well as the dining room. I just wish care was taken to the rest of the buildings. It looks terrible.

We visited Cove Haven to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The staff were friendly, especially our server in the restaurant Jojo, Jr. The food ok, but definitely not great.The "resort" is very dated. It's unfortunate because the land and views are beautiful. The outdoor pools were dirty, as well as the lawn chairs. We went inside the spa to use the whirlpool instead, however it didn't work. Our room had the famous heart shaped tub. Our first night there we attempted to use it, however there was black mold all around it. We called the front desk and asked that someone come clean it with bleach. We were told no one was available. A woman from the front desk brought us a cleaning rag and a spray bottle with fabuloso! She said she didn't have access to the bleach. We were not going to clean it, so we drained the water and went to bed. The next morning we went to the front desk, with photos, and asked for the tub to be cleaned thoroughly. Long story short, it never got cleaned, the manager never came to the room and didn't call as promised. We can deal with the property being dated, but cleanliness is a non-negotiable. Overall, the restaurant staff were friendly. The food was not great, the pools were dirty, the whirlpool was broken, and there was black mold in our tub. Also, while there were activities all around the property, many needed maintenance badly. The archery targets were falling apart, the basketball hoop was hanging crooked, and the mini golf was a joke. We will NOT be returning. We'll spend a little more to visit better maintained resorts. If I could give zero stars I would.

Wow , where to start?! We opened the door to our champagne tower suite and were met with the mixed aroma of mold , smoke and must. The room and decorations were straight from the 70’s giving off those early porno site vibes. We walked through and things were damaged worn and dirty throughout and a combination of everything unpleasant ! We drove three hours and left! Drove three hours home! What a nightmare! Don’t come here!

Had a fantastic weekend at Cove Haven. DJ Godfather was amazing and kept us dancing all night. Every song he played was great. All the guests loved him. Gena the fabulous mixologist kept us in delicious drinks and she is soooo sweet. Billy O is a terrific host and CXO-you can tell he really cares about his guests and they love him. Desiree in dining is also so wonderful-try her Bloody Marys, they were delicious. Billy C hosted a romantic couples craft, we loved it. Forever Lovers weekend party theme was Throw back prom-which was so fun-everyone had a blast. Guests dressed up in different prom eras-very cool. Room (Garden of Eden Apple) was spotless. Pool in the room (this is the #1 reason we choose the Cove Resorts) was nice and relaxing. Grounds kept nice, and the deer were adorable. Nice gift shop! You can buy deer feed there as well. Over the years we have stayed at Cove Haven a number of times going back to when it was run by Caesars. Each time we had a good time. There is enough to do so that you don't get bored, while at the same time, you can chose to just sit back and relax. The meals, breakfast and dinner, are always good with a good buffet selection for breakfast. At least the last time we were there. There is usually nighttime entertainment on the weekends ( which is usually when we go ) which is ok. We haven't been there in a couple of years now, but are thinking of returning soon. Oh, the speedboat rides on the lake is always enjoyable. Try it.

My wife and I have visited this location a dozen times already. It’s our home away from home. Friendliest staff I’ve ever known, so many things to do, and a great variety of rooms. Daily entertainment, amazing bands,DJs, and shows such as Comedians, jugglers, hypnotists, magicians, and occasional cooking shows. Always something different and exciting going on in the “Land of Love”!
